About Period101
We fight period poverty, one kit at a time. Officially launched in 2022, Period101 works to end period poverty by providing period kits to those in need. In addition to providing period product kits, Period 101 provides education and resources to help end period poverty locally and globally.
Period101 started in Alexandria, Virginia, at Thomas A. Edison High School. Period101's chapter at Edison brings education about period poverty to public schools. In addition, Period101 gives back to public schools in Fairfax and surrounding counties by giving back period kits to high schools' food pantries. Period101 is expanding further into Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and Washington D.C.
